After working with Dialogue for nearly two years, I came to a powerful realization that building a true mind-body connection in today’s world requires a deep understanding of how stress disrupts that connection. Through my journey, I noticed that almost every individual I met was carrying stress in their body, often unknowingly.
Contrary to what our ancestors might have believed, stress is not just a mental experience, it is very real in the body. It manifests in subtle, yet significant ways that I never imagined until I began uncovering its impact through Dance Movement Therapy and psychological exploration.
In response to this awareness, I felt called to create D-Stress: a mental health retreat rooted in Dance Movement Therapy (DMT), to empower people to reconnect with their bodies, release held tension, and cultivate sustainable practices for a stress-free life.
Gratefully, I found a like-minded partner in this mission- my dear friend from college, fellow mover, and DMT practitioner, Riya. Together, through Discover with T and Nest by Riya, we have launched a series of DMT-based sessions that dive into how stress lives in the body, how we perceive and respond to it, and how we can resource ourselves through movement and psychological tools to live with more ease and awareness.
D-Stress is not just a retreat, it’s a reclamation of your well-being. Join us on this journey of healing, embodiment, and self-discovery.

We’re excited to announce that D-Stress is expanding its reach beyond Uttarakhand! D-Stress now travels to Himachal Pradesh, bringing the healing power of Dance Movement Therapy to new communities amidst serene landscapes. And that’s not all! D-Stress will also be hosted in Delhi and Chandigarh, making it accessible to more urban participants seeking tools for embodied stress relief and mental well-being. Whether in the stillness of the mountains or the rhythm of the cities, D-Stress continues its journey, supporting individuals to reconnect with their bodies, understand stress at its root, and build lasting resources for a healthier, more balanced life.
